Pastor of Reid Temple
Greetings to our dedicated staff, loving parents, and precious students of the Reid Temple Academy. Because of you, this has been a fruitful and exciting academic adventure. Our children are receiving a quality of Christian-based education second to none as evidenced by the flow of positive feedback we have received throughout the years. It is imperative that we take authority of what goes into our children’s minds and cultivate what is planted in order to reap a harvest of successful disciples ready to take on the challenges of the modern world.
Reid Temple Christian Academy provides a strong curriculum based around science, mathematics and technology. The best and brightest teachers were recruited to lead and instruct a classroom of intelligent students wanting to learn in an atmosphere that promotes critical thinking skills, respect for others, and recognition of the importance of diversity within our culture and certainly within other cultures.
Our students have come before the congregation and recited the Lords Prayer in Spanish, lead worship at our Sunday Worship Service, presented their knowledge of the true reason we celebrate Christmas and Easter and even praised God through sign language renditions of gospel favorites.
As Pastor, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Donnette Dais, the Director of the Academy for her leadership, tremendous effort, dedication, and hard work. Thanks to a committed staff of educators and administrative personnel that understand the precious job they have of helping our children to learn and grow. Thanks to the parents who understand the importance of providing the best education for their children who are afforded an opportunity to learn in an environment that will teach moral values, ethics, coupled with science, math, reading, art, and music. Thanks to the membership of Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church who are in support of this ministry.
As we go forward, let us be true to the vision that God has given us to be good stewards over our future, the generation that is coming forward to make this world a better place by loving God and loving their neighbor.
Because He Lives I am,
Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington
