To protect yourself and others from COVID-19, CDC continues to recommend that you wear the most protective mask you can, that fits well and that you will wear consistently (cdc.gov).
Do all students and staff have to follow the new masking policy?
●Yes. It is the recommendation of the CDC based on the effectiveness. They filter at least 94-95% of particles in the air.
How long are the masks to be worn?
●Masks can be worn for up to 3 days. Masks that are damaged or soiled will be discarded and replaced.
●Masks supplied by the school should only be worn at school.
Will my child be provided a mask if they come to school wearing their KN95/N95/KN94/N94 from home?
●No, students will only receive a mask when they are not wearing the correct mask.
Will an extra mask be provided if my child’s mask gets dirty or the strap pops during the school day?
●Yes, a replacement mask will be given to any student whose mask gets damaged or soiled during the school day.
What are the distribution days?
●Distribution days will be every 3 days.
Are students expected to keep their mask over the weekend if given on a Friday?
●Yes, masks should be kept over the weekend (store in plastic bag folded closed, backpack etc)
How long are masks to be kept?
●After a 3 day period the mask can be discarded at any time.
